For 45 years, Hospice of Laramie has been a trusted resource throughout all stages of end-of-life care. As the only nonprofit hospice provider in Laramie and the only hospice with an available inpatient facility, we see beyond your diagnosis. We promise professional, compassionate care, filled with warm and reliable support, helping families to find peace and connection through the natural process of dying with care that goes above and beyond.

Sarah Kirkland, MBA
Executive Director
With over 10 years of nonprofit management experience, Sarah serves as the Executive Director of Hospice of Laramie. She is inspired by seeing the meaningful impact hospice has in the community and is passionate about ensuring patients and families receive comfort, dignity, and support during the final leg of their journey. Sarah values connection with staff, volunteers, partners, and those we serve. Outside of work, Sarah is happily married, sharing their home with five beloved pets, and enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, and hitting the curvy roads on her motorcycle.

Lou Farley, PhD, LPC
Spiritual Director & Bereavement Counselor
After a 30+ years career as a counselor helping adults, children and families in Laramie and a 7-year adventure as a Hospice of Laramie volunteer, Dr. Lou was asked to come on, in early 2000, as the Spiritual and Bereavement Counselor to work with patients, families as well as the larger Laramie community. Lou thinks of spirituality in terms of how people find meaning, purpose and joy in their lives. For some, the answers lie in their religious faith. For others, it may be the mountains, sports or just having family time together. However people enrich and strengthen their lives, Lou sees his role as supporting, as fully as possible, patients’ and families’ access to their answers through the entire life process.
W. Michael Comly, MD
Medical Director
Michael Comly, MD has been a doctor in Laramie since 1983 and has been the Medical Director of Hospice of Laramie for 24 years. He retired from private practice in 2017 and has been devoting time to both Hospice of Laramie and to the Downtown Clinic of Laramie to serve those in need. His specialty is Internal Medicine with a subspeciality in Cardiology. He’s a hobby woodworker and loves to be with his family and dog. “The Downtown Clinic and Hospice of Laramie are especially important to me. The staff and volunteers we have helping us there are the best I have been around in my 24 years. It is a pleasure knowing that we are helping in some small way.”
