Meet Our Staff

Executive Director

Jessica Stalder, RN, BSAD

Jessica was born and raised a Laramie girl and has been an RN for over 10 years. She obtained her degree in Business Administration from UW in 2017. She enjoys Hospice because it focuses on quality of life and comfort. She says that in most areas of nursing, there are guidelines that direct care and next steps- but With Hospice, it’s all focused on the patient and driven by what they want, and that is beautiful! When she isn’t at Hospice, you can find Jessica in the mountains or on a road trip with her son!

Clinical Director

Laurie Heath, RN, BSN

Laurie found her way back to Laramie following her nursing passion for cancer care and hospice. In 2019, she obtained her Bachelor ‘s in Nursing from the University of Wyoming after many years working in other Wyoming-related careers. She was very thrilled to join Hospice of Laramie in the fall of 2022.  Her vision and heart aligned with this amazing organization to help our community to live life to their fullest, even into the final transitions. She enjoys hiking in beautiful Wyoming with her husband and their 2 black labs. She is also absolutely in love with her three children and eight grandchildren.

Bereavement Counselors

Lou Farley, Ph.D., LPC

Spiritual Director

Lou Farley, PhD, LPC

Lou moved to Laramie to attend the University in 1978. He originally believed he was going to have a 1 or 2 year Cowboy adventure and then move to another area of the country. As he spent time in this beautiful place he fell in love with Wyoming and its people. He and his wife have raised 4 beautiful children and are grateful for the 6 grandchildren that bring sunshine to their days. Lou enjoys family time, yoga, hiking in the mountains, mountain biking with his children and good coffee. Hospice’s mission touches Lou’s heart and he learns more from our staff, our patients and their loved one than he can possibly reciprocate. The joys and challenges of Hospice are as rich as they are varied.

Social Worker

Brandi Sanchez, PCSW

Brandi was born and raised in Laramie. She and her son enjoy their Chihuahua, Thomas. Brandi enjoys yoga, naps, cross stitching, trying new foods and spending time with family. Hospice has a place in her heart because of the quality of care each patient receives. She is grateful to work with such a compassionate and skillful Hospice Of Laramie team.

Volunteer Coordinator

Matthew Baumgartner

Matt is a husband and father of two. Originally from Texas but now long time resident of Laramie.  You can easily distract him by getting him talking about football, hunting or fishing.  Matt also loves serving people in the community and works in volunteering and helping meet the needs of our patients and staff.

If you want to volunteer a conversation with him is a great place to start.

Maintenance

Clayton Wald

Clayton came to Hospice of Laramie after a long and prosperous career in the trades. He was part of the team that installed the heating, ventilation and air conditioning in our beautiful, very comfortable in-patient facility. Clayton and his wife raised 3 children together and are grateful to be in wonderful Laramie. They enjoy the outdoors and spend much time in the mountains or tooling around on their motorcycle, seeing all the beautiful sites this part of the country affords them. Recently he told me, “I enjoy working with all the staff here at Hospice. You couldn’t ask for a better place to work”.
